CONGRESSMAN RODNEY FRELINGHUYSEN BACKS BUCCO, CARROLL AND BUCCO FOR RE-ELECTION

(Boonton, NJ) - Republican Congressman Rodney Frelinghuysen, Morris County’s long-serving and only member of Congress, today announced his backing of Senator Tony Bucco, and Assemblymen Michael Carroll and Anthony Bucco for re-election in this year’s Republican Primary campaign.

“Here in Washington we are fighting to cut spending and balance our federal budget to protect future generations of Americans from unsustainable debt and unaffordable government. In Trenton, Governor Christie is leading the same fight along with my friends Senator Tony Bucco, and Assemblymen Michael Carroll and Anthony Bucco,” said Frelinghuysen, who was first elected to Congress in 1994. “These three legislators are committed fiscal conservatives who understand that we must cut spending, fight higher taxes, and create an environment that is welcoming to businesses who create jobs in our community. I back their re-election one hundred percent and I’m proud to endorse each of them.”

Frelinghuysen continued, “Senator Bucco has shown himself to be a leader on controlling spending and protecting taxpayers. As the Republican’s budget officer in Trenton, he wrote last year’s state budget which cut spending by 9%, and closed an $11 billion deficit without raising taxes or adding new debt. That is a record Morris County voters can be proud of.”

“We’re proud to have Congressman Frelinghuysen’s support. Rodney’s endorsement is critical to any Republican campaign in our area,” said Senator Bucco. “We are humbled and look forward to continuing our strong partnership on behalf of Morris County taxpayers.”

The 25th District Republican Team of Bucco, Carroll and Bucco has been endorsed by all three Morris County constitutional officers including Sheriff Ed Rochford, Clerk Joan Bramhall, and Surrogate John Pecoraro. They have also received the support of Morris County Freeholders Ann Grossi and Tom Mastrangelo, and Morris County Republican State Committeewoman Christina Ramirez.  The team won the backing of the Somerset County Republican Organization last month for the June 7th Primary election.
